Welsh Fencing

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Company will be at 10:30 am on Sunday 26th November, 2017, at the Sport Wales National Centre, Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, CF11 9SW.

Members are invited to submit Nominations for three Board roles, and Motions for debate at the AGM.

Nominations

The following roles are vacant:

  • Vice-Chairman (end of tenure of Allan Banks)
  • Director (resignation of Peter Stewart)
  • Director (new role allocated as agreed at the AGM in 2016)

Nominations are therefore sought to undertake these THREE roles. Please see the Director Information Pack for further details.

All nominations must be made by a Member of Welsh Fencing holding voting rights, and seconded by another Member holding voting rights. The nomination should be received by the Honorary Secretary by midnight 26th September, 2017. Nomination Forms are attached.

Motions

Members are invited to submit motions for discussion at the Annual General Meeting.

All motions must be submitted by a Member of Welsh Fencing holding voting rights, and seconded by another Member holding voting rights. The precise wording of the motion proposed together with a short explanation of the arguments in favour should be received by the Honorary Secretary by midnight 15th October, 2017. Motion Submission Forms are attached.

Voting Rights

To be able to vote, you must be affiliated to Welsh fencing on the date of the AGM. You must also meet one of the following criteria:

  • you are a Starter, Recreational, or Compete Member and will be 18 or over on the date of the AGM;
  • you are a Life Member;

Forms may be sent by email (to secretary@welshfencing.org), but all forms must have full signatures. Electronic signatures are not acceptable; any such forms received will be destroyed as invalid.
