Welsh Fencing are pleased to announce that we will be including the new Youth Series in our own Welsh Youth League rankings. The series has been set up by North West to give fencers more fencing opportunities in parts of the country that don’t often hold events. The first competition will be in Liverpool on the 24th February and will be open to all weapons.

U14s and U16s will run with one round of pools and DEs with all places fenced - providing more DE experience. Points will be awarded following our new system introduced this year (number of fencers x age multiplier x position multiplier)

U10s and U12s will be several rounds of pools with promotion and demotion each round. U10 results are not included in the Welsh Youth league (although we do encourage attendance to these events to gain valuable experiences) U12s results will be included in the Welsh Youth League, with those finishing in the ‘top’ group/pool earning 30pts, and those in the subsequent earning 15pts, providing you are in the top 50% of the final results.

Sign up for the first event can be found here: https://allentries.co.uk/competitions/view/TYS-0219

As usual, any questions please feel free to email the Yourh League coordinator at Fran.russell@welshfencing.org
