Those of you you fenced at the Welsh Open will have seen the cameras.  A package was produced for the S4C programme, Clwb, which is now available on Youtube, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCcfJ3cd3ro

Gethin has very kindly produced an English translation of the program, here: http://www.fencingforum.com/forum/showthread.php?20463-S4C-coverage-of-Welsh-Open&p=308787&viewfull=1#post308787.  Thanks, Gethin.

Some great coverage there - well done to S4C!

Congratulations to Jack Cafaro (Llantwit Major) and Abigail Watkins (Malvern Hills Swords) on their victories in the second Whitchurch Shield.

It is with sadness that I have to report that Gareth Edwards has passed away.

An active member of Wrexham Fencing Club, he was a regular visitor to Cardiff for all the youth events.  He was always enthusiastic and helpful to everyone, and will be missed by all who knew him.  I will certainly remember him with fondness.

The Board send their condolences to his family.

If anyone wants to send a condolence card, please contact me for the address.

It is with sadness that we have to report the passing of Eric Howlett.  Eric was 94 and had been in poor health for a short time.  Fellow coaches, particularly from Mid/North Wales will have many happy memories of Eric's friendship and contribution to fencing.
