Selection for this event is entirely discretionary, and where possible, the selectors have chosen teams with some experienced fencers, and are providing opportunities for fencers that may not have represented Wales previously.
Fencers competing at this event are eligible for the “Wales Regional Team” patch and will be presented with these at the event.
Full details will be provided for the team once they have accepted their place, but please be aware that fencers will need to arrive by 10.00am on the Saturday, and will finish at approximately 4.00pm on the Sunday (subject to confirmation).
Next Steps:
Selected fencers will be notified by TEAMO and will need to confirm their availability by Friday the 1st December.
Welsh Fencing will be paying the entry fees for this event, providing a Cadet Winton t-shirt, and subsidising the accommodation costs for each fencer. We will also be providing coaches for the teams and a fully qualified team manager to organise the event and ensure the safety and welfare of the fencers.
A contribution of £75 is required for each fencer, which will be requested via TEAMO. This will go towards fencer’s accommodation, dinner, and breakfast.
The board would like to congratulate the fencers selected and wish them every success at this event.
