Coaching Fencing Level 2

The Coaching Fencing Level 2 course is based on a modular approach with a combination of theoretical and practical content. The course consists of:

4 days on course delivery (32 hours) plus 1⁄2 day home study - approx 35 hours in total.  

The aim of the course is to provides coaches with the knowledge, skills and attributes to effectively coach individual lessons to young people or adults within a club setting which develops coaching skills and the technical & tactical aspects of defence and attack applicable to club fencers to a development and talent Id level. 

By the end of this course, you should gain a better understanding of how to:

• Run groups sessions, safely and with a purpose.
• Plan player centered sessions for beginners/intermediates within a club type setting.
• Deliver individual weapon specific lessons/coaching.
• Deliver sessions using coach process skills.
• Correct Level 2 specific fencing tactics and techniques.
