Level 2 Coaching Course

Welsh Fencing are hosting a Level 2 Coaching course for all weapons.

This Course will run over two weekends the 12th & 13th December 2026 and the 2nd and 3rd January 2027. All days will run from 9am to 5pm.

Course costs will be £150 for members of Welsh Fencing and £250 for non-members. Payment will be made directly to Welsh Fencing - payment details will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed.

The venue will be Cardiff Academy of Fencing, Splash Central, Beignon Close, Cardiff CF24 5HF

Course Tutor: Ev van Gemeren

The Coaching Fencing Level 2 (CFL2) course was developed for coaches working with fencers who are becoming proficient and require more technical and tactical input to continue to develop.

CFL2 focuses on delivering individual lessons.

The course is based on a modular  approach with a combination of theoretical and practical content.

The course consists of 4days one course delivery (32hours) plus 1/2 home study -approx 35hours.

Pre-requisites to attend:

• 18+ years old.
• Hold valid British Fencing membership.
• Hold a British Fencing Introduction to Coaching Fencing (ITCF) qualification.
• Coaches looking to add another weapon, having attended BF L2 courses prior to 2016.
